It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to the Newton County Elementary School website! On behalf of our entire faculty and staff, let me say how excited we are to have you as part of our school family. We are truly looking forward to a successful and rewarding school year with you and your child. As the Principal, it is my unwavering expectation and commitment that every child that enters these doors feels safe, valued, and above all, loved! 

Our website serves as a vital communication tool between home and school. Here, you’ll find important information about policies, procedures, and services that help keep our school running smoothly. I encourage you to read through the student handbook carefully, You will find the link at the bottom of this webpage. You'll find it to be a helpful resource. We’ve done our best to anticipate many of your questions, but we’re always happy to help if you need clarification. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for student success. Parents are always welcome to visit, and we encourage you to attend scheduled parent-teacher conferences. If you’d like to speak with your child’s teacher, please call ahead to set up a convenient time. You play an important role in your child’s education. Building positive, collaborative relationships with our teachers and staff will have a lasting impact. We also invite and encourage you to get involved in school activities and events—your participation makes a difference!

Our mission is to provide every student with a safe, nurturing learning environment and the tools they need to thrive in the 21st century. At Newton County Elementary, we believe quality education is a team effort—and we NEED you on our team! As a proud Title I School, we remain focused on clear, measurable goals that reflect our commitment to our students and our community. Guided by our motto—"Reaching Every Child, Every Day, in Every Way"—we aim to:

  • Ensure that 90% of students in grades K–3 are reading on grade level by year’s end
     
  • Increase parental involvement in students' academic lives
     
  • Strive for 100% graduation for all students
     
  • Increase ELA proficiency in grades 3–5 to 65% or above.
